We're a small, grass-roots, not for profit society started by Gerry Pinel, our president, in early 2006 out of Maple Ridge. We have a varied group of members, from all walks of life who share the common interest of fighting global warming with education and providing the general public, organizations and the government with the tools necessary to make this happen.
We meet once a month at Hyde Creek Watershed Society (Coquitlam), who graciously donates to us their premises.
Anyone who is interested in becoming either aware as to what Global Climate Change is and/or what to do about it in their daily lives is welcome to join. And if you feel like getting a bit more involved, you might also help us out with some of our projects and activism.
Joining our group will link you with like minded individuals who will support you and help you separate the truth from the myths. Although we are a legitimate society with an agenda and purpose, the atmosphere is very relaxed, non forceful and amicable. Your voice and input would be most appreciated.
The 10th annual Hyde Creek Salmon Festival community event is happening on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Read more
